...this outfit would have been so much cuter Yep, hence the serious expression on my face. The sun has not been with me at all this summer, so I got myself a job at a tanning studio. I start on Thursday.
My new favourite shoes from Jeffrey Campbell. Ahhh I just love them! The top I stole from my little sister Katarina, and the shorts from my other little sister Andrea. Pay back time! They always take my stuff... Since I took the shorts when my sister wasn't home, I found out later that they are supposed to be worn under a skirt, tihi, so I had technically been walking around in underwear all day long. Yeah yeah. And the top I was wearing constanty tried to flash my breasts. Yeaah...So I had to shop a little while I was out and about, so I could change. Hehe, nice to finally have a valid excuse :)
Why you're wonderful You're a laugh a minute and the life of every party. But you have lots of substance and a little Good Samaritan in you too.
Why you're impossible How can such a sosial butterfly be so secretly insecure? It's mind-boggling.
If he's a Leo He believes in love- but he also really loves looking at himself in the mirror. Throw him regular compliments and he'll be devoted to you forever."
Today a friend called me an attention seeker. I denied this at first( my natural reaction to criticism), but had to shut it quickly as I know my own personality too well. I then concluded in my head that being an attention seeker is a good thing( my second natural reaction to criticism), because "Hey, I'm perfect...right?". Yes, attention seeking, definitely a good thing...
Being the naive person I am, I have come to find a lot of truth in astrology and zodiac signs. This semi-faith provides me with an excuse to be the excessive extrovert person that I am. I am born in the sign of Leo, and simply can't help myself! I am under the power of the stars..
I thought back to when I first read this horoscope, or Glamourscope if you may, and remember feeling content. Who wouldn't want to be this person, who despites stealing majority of the spotlight, makes people smile? The true Leo in me thought that "If you can't take the heat, then you better stay out of the sun". My sun, that is, as this is the star that Leo is ruled by.
So I decided to embrace this vital part of me and take it for what it is. Not everybody can do the excessive extrovert so well(Leos are known to be very talented, you know)and I want to take the time out to congratulate all the Leos out there who most likely have their birthdays coming up soon( mine's up in 3 days, Yay!). Happy birthday and keep on shining with the sun!
The night before I left I was out with Saima and enjoyed myself. I love you, girl, best you know it!Doing the safe and comfy for the flightAnd as the nerd I am, I had to take a picture og the water droplets that formed over the logo on my bottle. Jeeeze..It looked really neat in reality though
I guess I'm the last one to know, as always, hehe. But, hey, better late then never? Since I got to the States I've been bit(nice choice of words, huh?)by the Twilight fever. Two weeks later and I've finished three of the books in the series and I'm more than ready to consume the last one! I have the movie too, but I'm saving that one for the end.
I came across a forgotten New York Times-paper at the train the other day, as an interesting article in the style issue captured my attention. Turns out, with the peak of the Twilight-saga and True Blood(a HBO-series), vampires are the coolest thing at the moment. And looking around, I found much evidence to hold this true.
Today's vampires are not the same as the old-fashioned Dracula. They're rich, have special talents and, most importantly, good looks any human would trade their lives for. So why wouldn't they be trendy? The modern vampire is dangerous, seductive and powerful. An inspiration for a new look to replace the sun tan, flowery romantic look we have seen expressed over several summer collections now. So I threw in a little snack for you here, bottom photo featuring Norwegian top model Siri Tollerød. Top photo from Italian Vogue. And speaking of Italian Vogue and legends, I highly recommend everyone reading this to check out their website for an amazing photo story done by Steven Meisel. I sent shivers down my spine.
..If im lucky, I'll end up in a situation like this some day soon. Hot guy, wet sand, the sea, tension, lust.. Hehe, I'm not dead and it's good to see that this blog isn't neither. Though none of us have been good on the updating, we actually still have hits. So I'll start blogging again. Promise.
